Hip Hop Director Cody Roane is let go from U-92 FM because Program Assistant Darlene Johnson and Program Director Matthew Fouty found several empty beer bottles and bottle caps littered throughout the station and in Studio A. It was determined that Mr. Roane was the one who brought the alcohol into the station and consumed it while he was on air during his show, the Urban Diner.
Significance: Cody Roane is a well-known and well-liked member of the U-92 student DJ staff. This is again, puts General Manager Matthew Fouty in a negative light because it is assumed by other student staffers that Mr. Roane's termination is due to Mr. Fouty not wanting him on staff. Mr. Roane was let go because he violated one of the policy manual rules that result in immediate termination from U-92 FM.
