Description:

John Cabot was born in Gaeta, Italy and died in 1498. He was financed by Henry vii of England to go and look for the Northeastern coast of North America. Cabot's motivation was finding areas for England to colonize. Cabot found the Northeastern coast of North America like Henry vii wanted him to. Cabot accomplished being known as the first European since the vikings to go to America. An interesting fact is Cabot's son also went to North America after his dad.
