sep 22, 1973 - o Teacher education unit became the Division of Urban Education
o Chairman Dr. Richard Morshead was named the associate dean
o First Education Executive Committee was created, with Dr. Daniel
Sayles, Dr. Rosalyn Saltz, and Dr. Grace Kachaturoff
o The new Division was able to introduce its own degrees, thus the
creation of the baccalaureate degree in education for students
planning to become elementary school teachers
