may 14, 1831 - Jaimaican Revolt

Description:

1831 was a notable year in the history of slave trade. Sam Sharpe, a Jamaican slave, started a slave revolt in the country. The revolt, however, was suppressed. However, while it may have failed, it inspired many slaves to champion for their rights, and also added game some more reasons on why there was a need for abolishing slavery.(Image:https://jis.gov.jm/information/heroes/samuel-sharpe/)
