Description:
An arms control negotiation between the United States and the Soviet Union that were aimed at reducing those two countries’ arsenals of nuclear warheads and of the missiles and bombers capable of delivering such weapons. The negotiation began in 1982, and spanned over period of three decades. It was the most complex arms control treaty and removed a significant amount of nuclear weapons in existence.
