Description:
The spread of anti-communism began to break down the Warsaw Pact. The reunification of Germany saw East Germany leave the Pact. The desires from multiple countries wishing to leave the Pact forced the Soviet Union to dissolve the Warsaw Pact altogether, bringing an end to the military alliance.
