Description:
As the Cold War reached its end, relations between communist East Germany and democratic West Germany suddenly improved. Citizens from either side were allowed to cross over and celebrated with one another. The Berlin Wall was eventually taken down by eager citizens chiseling away and heavy machinery doing most of the work.
