nov 8, 1923 - Munich Beer Hall Putsch
Description:
Hitler and 600 SA troops entered a Bavarian government meeting at Munich Beer Hall, and forced the members of the government to support him at gunpoint. His ally Rohm took over the local police and army, however another ally Ludendorff released the captives behind Hitler's back. Because they failed to take over the police, they were eventually overrun by police reinforcements.
