apr 3, 1948 - Truman establishes the Marshall Plan
Description:
This was an initiative from the United States to provide economic aid to any European country. The United States provided aid to any European countries that were ravaged from the war. The Americans required the recipients of the aid to submit an economic assessment and participate in a unified European economy, where there were no Soviet ideologies. The plan however was rejected by the Soviets and any Eastern Bloc country considering to accept the aid was reprimanded. Consequently the aid was only given to Western European Countries. This resulted in the Soviets making the Molotov plan, where they provided aid to the Eastern European Countries.
