aug 6, 1965 - The Voting Right Act
Description:
The Voting Right Act is when President Lyndon Johnson Accepted African Americans. So while accepting them he gave the African American the freedom to vote. The freedom to vote is now brought down to anyone in the country as long as that person applies for the spot to vote and is 18+. Now this important event has a very big impact of the characters in the book. If the characters are old enough they could vote a president who will help them get a better life and to get them to a therapy office to explain to them violence is never the answer. In conclusion giving the characters in the book a right to vote might help them a lot more.
