jan 1, 1928 - The Person's Case-Political: +2
Description:
This case was initiated by the Famous Five, a group of five female activists. In 1928, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that in the British North America Act the word "persons" did not include women. This meant that women weren't really allowed to work in high status office jobs, like politics. In 1929, the Privy Council of England reversed this ruling, so women were allowed to work in parliament and other main jobs.
