may 5, 1789 - A meeting of the Estates-General
A meeting of the estates-general is a gathering of the representatives of all three estates where each estate gets one vote. The meeting of the estates general was called due to King Luis XVI tax on the nobility which the second estate did not like. The third estate was usually ruled out in the meetings so they proposed an idea where each representative gets a vote.
