Description:
Expanded on the Espionage Act of 1917 which established penalties and prison terms for anyone who gave aid to the enemy and various other forms of espionage. The Sedition Act made any public expression of opposition to the war illegal. And officials could prosecute anyone who criticized the presdient or government.
