Description:

Uncle Tom's Cabin was a novel written by Harriet Beecher Stowe. it became very popular (because it explained, in great detail, what slvery life was life) especially among white, anti-slavery northerners. This novel helped lead to the Civil War because the actions about slavery eplained in the novel helped sway some people in the North to be against slavery, which helped Abraham Lincoln win the presidency, which led to tension between the North and the South, leading to the Civil War.
