Canada and the Depression (11 abr 1929 año – 8 mar 1939 año)
Descripción:
Unlike the United States' Depression, Canada's depression was the result of widespread drops in world commodity prices and sudden declines in economic demand and credit, which lead to rapid declines in global trade and rose unemployment. GNE fell 42%, 30% of the labour force was out of work, 1/5 of Canadians depended on gov. assistance, and unemployment remained >12% until the beginning of WWII.
