Descripción:

In front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., Martin Luther King, Jr. gave a speech to people attending the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, starting his rhetoric with the famous phrase, “I have a dream.” The African American civil rights movement reached two great achievement: the ratification of the 24th Amendment to the Constitution, which repealed the poll tax and rejection to poor African American voters; also, the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which banned racial discrimination in employment and education and illegal racial segregation in public facilities.
