During this battle the Germans planned a 60 mile long bulge, trying to defeat the allies. The US fought against German tank attacks and struggled to survive the harsh winter with little clothing. However, the allies stood their ground and cost Hitler's army many loses. This was a turning point of the war because Hitler's army was defeated and it was another win for the allies.
