18 ene 1534 año - English King Henry VIII and the start the Church of England

Descripción:

The Church of England’s official formation was thought to have started during the Reformation in England. King Henry VIII is considered the founder of the Church of England. Henry VIII started the church after he broke ties with the Pope in the 1530s after the Catholic church wouldn’t allow him to divorce his first wife. Henry passed the Act of Succession and the Act of Supremacy, which essentially declared himself the supreme head of the Church of England. The opening of the Church of England was a major event because England had been a faithful Catholic country for many centuries. The founding of the Church of England caused a “break away” from the authority of the Roman Catholic Church, and now King Henry VIII was free to mold the church in whatever way he desired.
