1 ene 320 año - The Gupta Empire
Descripción:
The Gupta Empire developed 500 years after the Mauryan Empire, which was started by Chandragupta I, as he ruled northern India for more than 200 years. This time period was called "India's Golden Age," the time of when arts and science flourished. Chandragupta I maintained authority with trained soldiers, spies, and assassins, meaning he is one to not mess with. During these times, Hinduism was the official religion, as Hindu temples were built decorated with brightly painted sculptures of Hindu's epic tales. As time went on, the empire reached its height under Chandragupta II who gave people more freedom, however the status of women declined. For example, parents chose husbands/wives for their children and child marriages were common.
