Hurricane Katrina was a destructive and deadly category 5 hurricane along the Gulf Coast of the US. damages spread from Florida to Texas but the city of New Orleans got hit with the biggest impact. A total of about 1300 people died from the effects of the storm making it one of the deadliest storms ever in America. The US government and our president at the time, George W. Bush had a lot of trouble providing aid to people in need and continues to be controversial. Louisiana was most effected by the storm and lost the most lives.
