This event of the Russian Revolution takes place during and after the First World War. Russia in this time went through three different political landscapes it started this Revolution with a Monarchy then moved into Socialist government with Alexander Kerensky and finally a Communist Country with Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin. A key event to come from the changing of the political landscape was The Russian Civil War it happened because the middle and upper classes did not like the current political state of the country. When Vladimir Lenin gave the order to kill Nicholas II and his son it made lots of the Middle and upper classes very angry forming one of the “sub Armies” in the White Army. Just the fact that Bolsheviks were in power lead to the forming of most of the White Army. The Civil war that came from the Death of the Royals, Hatred of the Bolsheviks and people wanting a democracy ended with 14 million dead and a win for the Red Army. This Civil War, in turn, influence the election that would get Joseph Stalin into power. Stalin's biggest opponent was Leon Trotsky the leader of the Red Army the way he used War communism and the way he got information out of “Whites” during the civil war contributed to his loss, and The Rise of one of the most ruthless Dictators in modern history
