Ashikaga Period 1336 - 1603 CE
The Ashikaga period saw the first steps in
the establishment of modern commercial,
transportation, and urban networks.
Even though there was great civil unrest
during this time, the period experienced
great cultural growth, particularly under
the influence of Zen Buddhism which was
introduced a thousand years earlier. (2 Apr 1336 Jahr – 2 Jan 1603 Jahr)
