The Kamakura
period marks the
governence of the
Kamakura shogunate
and the first ever shogun
of Japan, Minamoto no
Yoritomo. This period
of Ancient Japan was
largely defined by the
rise of the warrior class,
with which the ideals of
loyalty and bravery were
