WWII (1 Sept 1939 Jahr – 2 Sept 1945 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

-Mao Zedong was born in the countryside of southeastern Hunan province.
-The communists gained the trust and loyalty of the peasants and joined the red army.
-During WWII the chinese Nationalists and Chinese Communists had agreed to temporarily stop their civil war in the face of the common threat posed by Japanese aggression.
-Japan invades china
-When the war was going on Nationalists and communists joined in an uneasy alliance against the Japanese.
-The Japanese are eventually forced to leave China after controlling much of it throughout the war.
-When they combined forces they fought an effective guerrilla campaign until Japan surrendered in 1945.
-But then China's destructive civil war resumed play and the fighting broke out once again.
-When their civil war continued the communists have gained support and Nationalists have become weaker.

-China did not modernize so they need the ports to get supplies from other countries.

-So the Japanese cut off the Chinese connection to the ports.

-China’s army was forced inward

-Japan thought it was going to be a fast and easy war so they were taken by surprize when they ran out of supplies

-Since they needed more troops the cost kept increasing
