Reconstruction (1 Jan 1865 Jahr – 1 Jan 1877 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

After the Civil War, the federal government came up a with plan to try and rebuild the south, called Reconstruction. Reconstruction ultimately did see racial tensions rise over tensions in the south over freedmen and their rights. Reconstruction showed that racism was far from gone in America and that it would take some time for the north and south to fully reconcile.
