Tet Offensive (30 Jan 1968 Jahr – 23 Sept 1968 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

Tet was a holliday were the North Vietnam army and US would stop fighting and have peace. This time though, that did not happen. The North Vietnamese planned a large scale attack of hundreds of positions at the same time. The goal was to overwhelm the US and take out bases along with people, because they had no reinforcements, because they were spread so thin.
Overall North Vietnam failed. The good thing that happened for them though is the US citizens saw our troops cornered and shot and now fought against the war because the whole thing was televised and changed the opinion of so many.
