The Song Dynasty had many major accomplishments during their reign, such as the development of paper money. The Dynasty became the first government in the world to issue banknotes and see them used nationwide. The Song Dynasty also oversaw the first known use of gunpowder. Along with technological advancements, the Song Dynasty also oversaw the introduction of Neo-Confucianism, a blend of Buddhist ideas and Confucian ideals. (3.2)
