Reasons: prince-bishopric's poor financial circumstances forced them to ask there Nobelmen for land they had pledged, they refused causing tension. And Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel was looking for a reason to go to war with Bishopric of Hildesheim so war ensued.

Peace Treaty: Much of Bishopric of Hildesheim was given to Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel.
