The Battle of Brain Damage (16 Jan 1960 Jahr – 16 Apr 1969 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

From Still's lectures and studies (1902) to Tredgolds conclusions of postencephalitic behavior disorders, there was a common theme of brain damage among scientists and physicians. This theme later was linked to symptoms associated with ADHD. In the 1960s, scientists culminated this theme into the concept of "brain damage" and its correlation to hyperactivity in children. However, other critics of this term found many children exhibiting hyperkinetic impulse disorders not associated with any known injury to the central nervous system. This became known as "brain dysfunction" as opposed to "brain damage".
