English Civil War (22 Aug 1642 Jahr – 3 Sept 1651 Jahr)

During these years, the English Civil War commenced. This war was between the Roundheads, or people against King Charles I, and the Royalists, or people in support for the king. The Roundheads tended to be Calvinist, while Royalists tended to be Anglican. At the end of the war, the first English king to be beheaded was killed and the Commonwealth was established in England.
