Clara Wieck was a child protege who composed for her own performances on piano. In 1841, she married Robert Schumann and they joined forces musically, composing many works together. Robert died when she was 36, leaving her to provide for their 7 children by performing for a living. She wrote He Has Come in Storm and Rain, a piece for voice and piano with passionate swelling dynapic changes and abrupt mood changes.
