Beschreibung:

Part of the Reformation Period. Started as a local and religious conflict. Consisted of four phases: Bohemian, Danish. Swedish, anf French. Each phase became more public and more about political motives rather than religious motives. Ended with the Peace of Westphalia. This event fits the AP Euro theme of States and Other Institution of Powers because it is a time where there is questioning of the power of the Catholic Church. This event also fits the theme of Individual and Society because a lot of it had to do with personal religious preference or conflict.
