In this time period, Jesus of Nazareth was born and then died. He worked as a carpenter for many years before becoming a preacher moving throughout Jerusalem to teach in front of large crowds. He was delivered to be crucified by Pontius Pilate and was killed in 33 AD. His death spurred the beginning and spread of Christianity.
