Kingdom of the Red Lord (Westernfolk) (1 Jan 1514 Jahr – 1 Jan 1890 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

Forsaken by the Crown of Sunrise whilst they were at war with the Arsala Dul, the Eastfolk inhabitants of the arid Bloodwild chose to form their own kingdom after seizing the capital city of Edenrathe, carved into the face of Mount Kara Ghar (Mount Bloodstone). They would proceed to sweep eastwards conquering the entirety of the Bloodwild, and drawing the former Kara'Dul into the fold of their new populace.

Their success was in no small part thanks to the staggering amount of mages whom stood among the ranks of those first east-faring rovers. The Bloodwild is nearly completely devoid of any lingering residues of energy, and no Energy Current, however big or small, soars over the arid landscapes. This matter paired with the sheer size of the arid wasteland would affect the Arsala Dul throughout the millennia, causing them to father less mages over the years, to the point of losing the magic in their bloodlines altogether.

When the Sunborn settlers won the war against the Kara Dul and moved to occupied their ancient cities the lore on how magic came to be had not yet been researched, and only thinly-reputable theories existed regarding how one was bestowed with the gift of magic. This lack of knowledge paired with how thinly they spread themselves to cover more ground and with the intermingling with the locals that followed the occupation led the Westernfolk to suffer a similar fate as the Arsala Dul, fathering less mages with each generation until the aptitude for magic was completely removed from the greater breast of the bloodlines.

By the time of the Decagonal Court's ascension, mages were so rare in the Bloodwild that being one was considered a sign of status among the Westernfolk, and being born a 'Phylacter' or, in the Westerfolk culture, a 'Tidespawn' was as good an omen as one could come unto. Those of great arcane prowess would rise up as Land Lords of the commonfolk or be ushered to Edenrathe to serve under the Sanguine Tidespawn as fully indoctrinated battlemages, which were used both to uphold the Laws of the Red Tide or to spearhead invasions into the northern deserts (Many of which would be launched as the centuries went to various degrees of success. That said, only the Arsala Dul know how to brave the unending sands of the greatest region of Ár, and thus most north-faring conquests ended in a retreat before reaching the first settlements), as well as Valendir (Which they would indeed conquer as the Sunborn armsmen were weary and diminished from the long War of the Vale).
