The Great Depression (1 Jan 1929 Jahr – 1 Jan 1939 Jahr)

The Great Depression occurred as a result of climate, unemployment and bankrupt in the US. Since people had many debts in the bank, most banks had to close and the economy collapsed. Japan was also affected by this. Silk, the main product that Japan exported, was mostly bought from the US. Since the US had no money, Japan couldn’t sell their resources and therefore their economy collapsed. They decided that the best option was to invade other countries to find more land and resources to live. Back in Manchuria, the Kwantung army was defeated, since they had no budget.
