Beschreibung:

A 13 day confrontation between the US and USSR over soviet nuclear weapons secretly placed in Cuba. Kennedy responded with a naval quarantine on Cuba and demanded immediate removal. After negotiations they agreed to dismantle the missile sites in exchange for the US to promise not to invade Cuba and remove Missiles from Turkey. This was Significant because the world was on the brink of nuclear war but the peaceful resolution was a turning point between US and USSR relations.
