Wife of Igor, Mother of Sviatoslav I.

First Russian Ruler baptized in Christianity. She is know in the Chronicle for a story of revenge on the tribe the killed her husband.
1) She buried alive 20 ambassadors sent to her after her husband's death.
2) She wrote to the tribe asking them to send additional representatives from their most noble families. She invited them to enjoy her bathhouse before dinner, where she burned them alive.
3) She wrote again, that she was in route to visit them with their ambassadors. She asked them to prepare a funeral feast for her husband. At the feast, when the clan was drunk, she murdered them.
4) Now in open war, she besieged their capital. For peace she asked for 3 pigeons from each house. She attached flame to each bird, setting them free, burning the city and killing all inside.
