Beschreibung:

Only known son of Rurik.
Father of: Sviatoslav I (Novgorod),

First Russian Prince mentioned in multiple contemporary sources. In 941 he led raids on Byzantium. Made peace in 944 gaining a large tribute. In 945 he went to impose high tributes on the Drevlian tribe (who did not partake in the war with Byzantium). Though they paid, Igor turn back around with a small force, deciding he wanted more. The clan killed Igor and his warriors.
