The Dorians were one of the 4 major ethnic groups in Ancient Greece. The Dorian invasion refers to a period where the Dorians were overtaking Greek City States between 1200 and 800 BC. The Dorians brought with them the Iron Age and commonly became Aristocrats who owned land, leading to the enslavement of Greek farmers.
