Tuskegee Syphilis Study (1 Jan 1932 Jahr – 1 Jan 1974 Jahr)

Funded by the Public Health Service. It was intended to study the natural history of untreated syphilis in African American males in Alabama but it continued and withheld treatment from study subjects long after penicillin was shown effective in 1947 (McLaren n.d.).
