Treaty of Versailles (28 Jun 1919 Jahr – 10 Jan 1920 Jahr)
Beschreibung:
The Treaty of Versailles was a document passed to Germany and other Allies in 1919 outlining the punishments and peace conditions led by President Woodrow Wilson of the U.S., Premier Georges Clemenceau of France, and Prime Minister David Lloyd George of the U.K. The document was signed at the Palace of Versailles in Paris, they had forced Germany to sign the Treaty and establish peace. The conditions stated that: Germany was to take responsibility for starting the war, pay respirations to cover the damages, reduce their army to 100,000 men with 6 battleships, no air force, and have limited weaponry.
After World War I and during the Great Depression, the Nazi Party and Adolf Hitler were actively violating the Treaty to rebuild Germany’s military force and restore prosperity. In 1935, Hitler reintroduced conscription to recruit men into the army and rejected the military conditions of the Treaty of Versailles.
