Thomas Münzer (1 Jan 1489 Jahr – 1 Jan 1525 Jahr)
Beschreibung:
Müntzer was a reformer who took issue with Luther's compromises with feudal authority. He was a leader of the German peasant and plebeian uprising of 1525 commonly known as the German Peasants' War.
He believed that teachings came from the Holy Spirit, he placed them in opposition to the Lutheran doctrines of justification (justification by faith alone) and the authority of Scripture (Scripture as the exclusive source of divine truth).
Contributions: He led the Peasants' War, calling for economic and social justice but facing opposition from both Catholic and Protestant authorities.
