Leading up to the American Revolution (1 Jan 1763 Jahr – 1 Jan 1787 Jahr)

Beschreibung:

The French and Indian war was a conflict between France and Great Britain over some territory. The territory was a state called Ohio. Ohio is located in north America. The French built a fort and defeated Great Britain twice in battle. And killed 1500 fighters and General Braddock. The stamp act was a tax that the British put against the Americans on stamps. The purpose of the tax was to pay for the stationed troops in north America. But the Americans weren't gonna let it happen so they fought back and won. Because they didn't buy anything from the British which caused them to cancel the stamp act. The Stamp act and the Townshend act angered the colonists. Because the British had no representation when taxing. So they made a saying called '' no taxation without representation. '' John Hancock was one of the people hated the taxes the most. His ship the Liberty was forcefully taken by the British. He was charged with smuggling. He was defended by John Adams and the charges were dropped. Common sense means what people agree on. Like the sun is hot and everyone knows that, that's what common sense is. Common sense has at least two meanings capability of the mind to perceive things like movement and size and our natural sense. The 13 American colonies declared they were going to form a new country totally independent from Great Britain. John Adams chose Thomas Jefferson should make the document because he thought he was more qualified to write it and he was simply a better writer. Jefferson started to write about the peoples rights, government decisions, jail reasons, and taxes. then, on July 4th the document was adopted. That's why we celebrate independence day. The constitution is a set of rules for the government it shows them how the country works. And it gives the country and states different things they can do like the country can print money.
