Elẽdf's uncle, former Prince Swoĩntal Karmen (brother to King Hernyër III), was cut from the line of succession in 1354 after he raped a lower-class peasant girl. His brother, King Hernyër III, did not want his heir to be a rapist without morals and so first took away his right to the throne and then banished him from Oipienta. However, when King Hernyër III was killed in the Red Storm, his only heir was his 7 year-old daughter Elẽdf (she was also from his first marriage). Swoĩntal saw a chance to take what he believed to be his and traveled back to Oipienta from Hlossos, Floghinia in 1362. Before leaving Floghinia, he had gained over 1000 troops willing to fight for him. He landed just north of Yenithe and traveled secretly with all of his troops to Avãnt, took over the castle town, and established his base of operations. From Avãnt, he would strike Kueplios and rally support against Queen Elẽdf and her regent. Despite his efforts, Swoĩntal was defeated at the Battle of Arkek Nõm (close to present day Arkek). He was once again banished back to Floghinia where he would spend the rest of his life, dying in 1384 in Tirgbis, Floghinia.
