1982 Lebanon War (6 Jun 1982 Jahr – 5 Jun 1985 Jahr)

The majority of the conflict happened in 1982 between June and September.

This war was initiated by Israeli forces to fight the PLO who had taken residence in southern Lebanon - Beirut. They laid seige to the city until they pulled out.

This war was nothing but an excuse for their invasion into Lebanon and access to refugee camps filled to the brim with Palestinians for another round of ethnic cleansing as refugee camps in Lebanon were by far treated the best at the time.

This led to the Sabr and Shatilla camp massacres.

Sabr and Shatilla were two major refugee camps for Palestinians who had fled north of Palestine into the south of Lebanon.

This massacre was performed by a group of Masonite Christian Lebanese who had been at the time armed and influenced by the invading Israeli forces. The hatred cultivated from the Lebanese by the Israelis stemmed from two main aspects:

1. Palestinians were propagated as the sole reason for the invasion
2. Lebanese lives were at stake in southern Lebanon due to the existence of these camps

Christian Lebanese were armed with machine guns and heavy weaponry and from 6pm at night till 8am the next morning over 3,500 innocent civilians and refugees were killed in a matter of 10 hours.
