The Visual Education movement began in 1908 and was the beginning of making visual technology more accessible to the general public for the use of education. Some examples of this included magic lanterns, stereopticons, motion picture projectors, and instructional films for the use of educational purposes. Along with the use of these tools for education purposes the general media also used these devices and tools in advertisement as well. This made perfect sense for these tools to be used in education instruction as well.
