My grandmother’s childhood was rough, her parents got divorced when she was young, her mom left and dad was never really a part of her life. Since her immediate family didn’t have the resources to take care of her she had to be sent to california by herself to live with her grandmother. Other than societal problems like the civil rights movement, she was pretty lonely at times, her mother was not around and father was very neglectful. This would cause my grandmother to build a strong relationship with her grandmother since she had no one else.
