Thomas Hobbes was an Enlightenment thinker who came up with the idea of Absolutism. Absolutism is a system of interaction where one person has complete authority. Thomas Hobbes came up with Absolutism after experiencing two civil wars where at some points there was no leader, which caused disorder.
