Beschreibung:

Voltaire was another French philosopher that was well-educated to become a lawyer, but wanted to become a philosopher and writer instead. He believed that everyone had the right to say whatever they wanted to say, or in other words, freedom of speech. Voltaire also believed that religions made people hypocrites, but also believed in freedom of religion. He said that anyone should have the right to believe in what they want to believe in, but if they follow a religion, then they have to strictly follow every rule. Also, Voltaire wrote a popular book named Candide that gives us the message to mind our own business and do our own thing.
