- American Crops coming to China (they at one point had such a great balance of trade that they had the more American Silver than any other sosiety economy)
Imports : Corn, Sweet potatoes, Peanuts
Exports: Silk, Teas, Ceramics, Lacquer ware

Macao and Canton were very important to Europeans because that was the only place that they were able to trade with the Chinese.

They reinstated Confucianism and the Scholar Gentry.

- Political Corruption
- Infrastructure issues: Famine, floods, droughts
- Economic: land lords took advantage of renters
- Social: Peasants were very poor and reverted to selling their children into slavery and resorting to canibalism
